Resonate welcomes Larry Livingston from Conn-Selmer Institute!

The Resonate staff team is pleased to announce that Conn-Selmer will be sending Larry Livingston to Resonate 2017 to work with teachers and students.  We are so grateful to Conn-Selmer for partnering with us this year and for sending us such high-caliber people to work with.  Welcome Larry, we look forward to working with you!

Larry Livingston is a distinguished conductor, educator, and administrator, and a dynamic, inspiring motivational speaker. The founding Music Director of the Illinois Chamber Orchestra, Mr. Livingston has appeared with the Houston Symphony, in the Los Angeles Philharmonic Green Umbrella Series, at the Festival de Musique in Evian, France, with the Stockholm Wind Orchestra, and with the Leopoldinum Chamber, Chopin Academy, and Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestras in Poland. He has been Music Director for the Pan Pacific Festivals in Sydney, appeared in Yamaha, International concerts in Tokyo, and presented at the International Jazz Festival in Rome. From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Livingston regularly toured Germany and Slovakia with the Internationale Junge Orchesterakademie. The performances and subsequent recordings were “the most successful in this organization’s history,” according to its director. In 2001, he served on the jury for the renowned Besancon (France) International Conducting Competition. In the last decade, he has conducted extensively in Eastern Europe, and particularly throughout Poland, attracting consistent critical acclaim. Reviews reported “long, unending applause, enthusiastic cheers, like at a rock concert, standing ovation.”
